Worst salon ever

Posted by JillS1980 on 7/3/2008

This was the worst experience I have had at a hair salon. The stylists were overbooked. My stylist was working another person and I at the same time. She had no time to cut my hair, I had to tell her what to do so she would forget (ie cut my bangs). She was so overworked, poor girl. Also, there were a lot of electrical problems. At one end of the salon, you couldn't run more than one hairdryer, hence they didn't hair dry my hair appropriately. I talked to management about it, and they said they couldn't fix it, it was a building problem. I will not go back to this salon.

Instructor teaches students to be dishonest

Posted by violetmouse on 7/2/2008

Today I visited the school for hair color services. I specifically requested a cool tone because my hair pulls red with neutral and warm tones. During the consultation with the instructor and student, I was assured of a cool tone. Services proceeded as agreed upon. Then, the instructor, without consulting me, told the student to stop putting on the cool tone and to switch to a neutral one. Curious as to what was going on, I asked the instructor what she was doing and she said, "What do you know about color?" Since part of my hair was already wet with the right color, I had no choice but to let the student finish with the wrong one. As I was waiting during the processing period, I could see my hair turning red and ugly, so I asked that the processing be stopped. I then protested to the Administrative Director and was told that I was out of luck. The point it is--the instructor is dishonest towards customers and needs to realize that the customer is always right. If the instructor wanted to do something, she should have said so during the consultation and not change track midway, without the customer's knowledge or permission.

Stylist lied and colored my hair the color I didn't want

Posted by violetmouse on 7/2/2008

Today I went into the salon for hair color services. I requested an ashy color and made a point of stating that I did not want a neutral or warm shade of the color because my hair pulls red. Guess what?--The stylist, without my prior knowledge or approval, decided to go with a non-ashy shade and my hair ended up red and ugly. When I complained, I was told to never call or visit Leon's again. So, I've filed formal complaints with governmental supervisory agencies and have requested that my credit card company NOT PAY them for services NOT rendered. Go elsewhere--there are a lot of good salons nearby!
